Kiltoprak Trust Company NV obtained its license from the Dutch Central Bank o provide trust services in the Netherlands
In the Netherlands, supervision on trust offices and market access for trust offices is governed by the Act on the Supervision of Trust Offices (Wet toezicht trustkantoren - Wtt). The Wtt stipulates that trust offices must have a licence to operate. Without a licence it is prohibited to operate as a trust office in the Netherlands or to provide trust services to the Netherlands. The Dutch Central Bank (De Nederlandsche Bank N.V. – DNB) is responsible for issuing licences and exercising prudential supervision on trust offices.
After a thorough process Kiltoprak Trust Company NV obtained its license to render trust services in the Netherlands from the DNB on 20 April 2018. The license was the first “new” license for trust services to be issued by DNB in almost a year.
